Why Should I Buy The Wave Or The Ab Circle Pro

June 29th, 2009 by heart_health

In my role as a Personal Trainer and exercise equipment reviewer, I often like to compare various pieces of exercise equipment aimed at the home market to see how they measure up to each other. I look at equipment in the same price bracket, or similar and then analyse purpose, ease-of-use, convenience and how interesting it makes your workouts.

Home exercisers currently being advertised include the Firm Wave and the Ab Circle Pro which are in a similar price range between $100 and $150. The Firm Wave is a rocking platform that you stand, sit or lie on and the Ab Circle Pro consists of a track with kneepads and handlebars.

The Ab Circle Pro gives a cardiovascular workout as you swing your knees from side to side on the semicircular track and works your abdominals and obliques at the same time to give you toned, flat abs and a trim waistline as well as conditioning your lungs and heart.

Kneeling on all fours while using the Ab Circle Pro is quite uncomfortable at first, but is a great position for toning chest, shoulders and arms as well as building bone density in the wrists to guard against osteoporosis in later life.

When working out on this equipment, be very aware of your posture. Your shoulders should not be hunched, which will make your back look like a camel’s, and your lower back should just have a slight curve in it. In other words your pelvis should not be tilted forwards or backwards and this is the optimum position forgetting a great ab workout.

The problem with doing sit-ups on the floor is that they are often done incorrectly and make the abs bulge in the wrong direction! There have been several reports of the kneepads being uncomfortable to use on the Ab Circle Pro, but I would suggest that wearing some hockey or football kneepads when you use the machine should solve that problem.

Along with your Ab Circle Pro is a guide to low-calorie eating and a DVD workout to help your on your way to a toned, leaner body and sculpted abs. Remember that other forms of exercise are necessary for permanent weight loss results and full body toning.

The other piece of equipment that we are comparing is the Firm Wave, which costs around $120 and is shaped like a curved step, with one side stable for new exercisers and those who may be a little unsteady, and the other side that rocks for increased calorie burn and a good core workout. The Wave also comes with a selection of workout DVDs.

Grapes are a great and natural way to seek relief from a headache or a migraine. When it comes to using grapes to seek relief, there are a number of different steps that can be taken. For natural consumption, just eat a bowlful of ripe grapes. Another approach involves just drinking the juice, as the juice is what provides the relief. The truth about cholesterol

June 26th, 2009 by heart_health

The negative effect of cholesterol is talked about all the time. But is it really that bad? Many people simply ignore the fact that cholesterol is an important component of our body and is needed for essential metabolic functions. In this article I will be providing more information on cholesterol and its importance in our body.

Cholesterol is an essential compound for the proper functioning of the human body and it intervenes in the production of certain hormones which is necessary to the human body. It is also a critical component of bile which is used by the body in the digestion of fat. Cholesterol is also used by the body in the production of vitamins D (in the presence of sunlight) which is important for bone health.

It is only an excessive level of cholesterol that can induce problem to the human body. The liver is responsible for doing adjustments when there is too much cholesterol in the body and increase production when there is too less. Still sometimes this adjustment does not happen because of hereditary reasons. So as to hold an optimum level of cholesterol it is consequently important that we eat a balanced diet. French readers can discover more on cholesterol level triglycérides and lipids in large by visiting the linked article. Medical research has in truth made a lot of progress and now we are in a better position to understand how cholesterol acts in our body.

In order to help your body to maintain a proper level of cholesterol it is important that you monitor regularly your cholesterol level. Consuming less meat and other foods containing animal fats should be a great way to start. Instead you can have an increase portion of fruits and vegetables to help your body. Grains such as oatmeal are also excellent because they do not contain any cholesterol. A change in our diet should indeed be a great way to protect us against high cholesterol level.

To the contrary of popular belief cholesterol is an important component to the well-being of our body. It is in fact essential to the production of various hormones in the body. However it is an excess of cholesterol in the blood that is harmful and can give rise to many cardiovascular disease. This is why it is important that people consume more fruits and vegetables and decrease their consumption of animal fats.

Tightness In The Chest With Anxiety – Is it a Serious Heart Problem or Anxiety?

June 26th, 2009 by heart_health

When an individual experiences tightness in the chest with anxiety, it’s normal to conclude that there may be a problem with your heart. However, this is not usually the case. In fact, constant chest tightness from anxiety is one of the most typical symptoms of a panic attack.

This is true even with the mildest cases of this condition. Many people aren’t even aware that they may be suffering with anxiety attacks, but this is actually fairly common. Surprisingly, over 20 million individuals in America alone suffer with varying degrees of anxiety attacks, some to the point of disability.

This article will discuss the difference between chest pain due to anxiety and other heart conditions, the most common symptoms related to different types of chest pain, and some simple recommendations for what you can do to experience relief from these symptoms.

To start with, let me just say that chest pain of any type should be evaluated by a qualified doctor to rule out the possibility of a more serious health condition. With that said, are there certain ways you can know if your chest pain is being caused by a panic attack rather than a heart condition?

In general, the type of chest pain you will feel with a heart condition is more like someone is sitting on your chest. Doctors describe this as a “crushing” feeling.

Chest pain from a panic attack is usually described as a “tense” or “tight” sensation in the chest. Sometimes, the tightness in the chest will also be accompanied by a sensation that your heart is beating really intensely and fast, or like your heart is about to leap out of your chest.

Problems with the heart will also often lead to radiating pain. What that means is that you might also experience radiating pain or other sensations in your arm (typically the left arm), jaw, upper back, or neck. This isn’t true every time, but it is very typical with heart problems.

constant chest tightness from anxiety is only one of the symptoms you may experience with a panic attack. You may also have difficulty breathing, unrealistic fears, a fear of impending doom (feeling like you’re going to die), nervousness, a jittery sensation (like you have rushes of adrenaline), among others.

So, why would an individual experience tightness in the chest with anxiety? Well, what is happening is that your nervous system is actually exaggerating your reaction to stress.

Click here (constant chest tightness from anxiety) to continue reading this article, where you’ll learn more about the cause of tightness in the chest with anxiety, as well as the most effective treatments available for relief from this health condition.

The Mini Tummy Tuck Vs. the Full Tummy Tuck

June 25th, 2009 by heart_health

If you are unhappy about the size and appearance of your stomach area, plastic surgery offers you plenty of options today. Among the most common and popular treatments is the tummy tuck or abdominoplasty. And this procedure also comes in two different forms-the full tummy tuck and the mini tummy tuck. Both have their pros and cons and are aimed at correcting the look of the abs and stomach. Go to tummy tuck jacksonville for mor einformation.

The Full Tummy Tuck

A traditional abdominoplasty is best for those whose body weight is above 20 percent of their ideal weight. This is because it is a more invasive and dramatic surgery than the mini version. General anesthesia is used and it can be performed in a hospital or an outpatient facility.

The cosmetic surgeon makes an incision around the navel as well as along the pubic bone up to the hips. The skin is then loosened from the underlying muscles and lifted up. Often liposuction is performed at this point to suck out stubborn fat pockets and create a slimmer tummy.

The abdominal muscles are also tightened up with sutures and repositioned. Next, the skin is stretched down tightly and the excess is cut off. The navel is often displaced in this process so it is repositioned to be in the right spot. Then the skin is pulled down and sewn back together at the original incision mark.

The recovery from a full abdominoplasty is similar to but more involved than a mini tummy tuck. There will be plenty of swelling and bruising around the incision and in the stomach area and there will also be some pain, tenderness, and discomfort. The swelling and bruising will subside after several days and the pain can be managed with prescribed medications.

During the recovery period, your plastic surgeon will recommend that you get plenty of rest and refrain from a lot of moving or stretching during the first few days. After you have healed, your abdomen will be much smoother and tighter, but you will have a long scar along your hips and pubic area. Fortunately, the scar will almost always be hidden by clothing or swim suits. Refer to microdermabrasion jacksonville for more information.

The Mini Tummy Tuck

This procedure is not as invasive as the full abdominoplasty and is typically best for those who are between 10 percent and 20 percent over their ideal weight. It is a great procedure for those who have experienced a sagging tummy due to age or several pregnancies. The mini tummy tuck is simply a scaled down version of the full procedure.

The incision is much smaller, usually just along the pubic bone and the navel positioning is not adjusted. The surgeon works on reshaping and repositioning only the tissues and muscles between the navel and the pubic bone. Liposuction is still commonly used in this process but usually is not as extensive. The skin will still be stretched and excess removed, after which it will be sutured together again.

The recovery will involve all the same elements as a full tummy tuck but just on a smaller scale. Most patients can even return to work again after a few days or a week. The scar will still be visible but much smaller than that of the full abdominoplasty. Both options offer solutions to a large, loose, and sagging stomach. Your surgeon can help you decide which procedure is a better fit for your situation. Visit microdermabrasion jacksonville for further information.

Hardgainer Project X is a totally new program for 2009 and zero’s in on skinny guys and hardgainers. Now this is important to note because there is such a limited amount of training programs on the market and this course fills the void. People who are thin find it hard to come across good sources of information because most advice is usually targetted to people who want to lose weight.

Finally thin guys can get great targetted information that is suitable to their condition and to get fantastic results. There are two areas of focus in this course which are exercise and diet.

Calorie consumption plays an extremely important part in the diet component. Everything is broken down into step by step formulas by Jeff Anderson so that there is no guess work. Another thing he goes into detail about is the foods that must not be eaten for thin people.

The main component of exercise is weightlifting. To get the best results Jeff combines compound and isolated exercises together. Cardio is not advised at the start of the program as it is not good for skinny guys in helping them build muscle. If you have to do cardio Jeff says that you just need to make sure you have extra calories on that day to make up for it.

Gaining weight will be a huge task if these two factors are not mastered. These factors when used together will allow your body to grow very quickly.

Supplements are another important area of the course and are tailer made for skinny guys. Jeff wrote a guide on supplements so he knows a lot about them. Really Bad Vaginal Yeast Infection Symptoms – Itching , Soreness, Redness Which Women Refuse To Mention…

June 17th, 2009 by heart_health

Medical resources show that vaginal yeast infection is one of the most common vaginal infections. The rest includes bacterial infection, urinary tract infection, and trichomoniasis. All of them have same kinds of symptoms. When you have any symptoms, don’t guess what kind of vaginal infections you might have. You wouldn’t know for sure. So, you need to consult with a doctor.

When I had itching symptom at my vagina, I was so sure that I had a vaginal yeast infection. I chose not to see a doctor then. It turned out that my guess happened to be right. But, I made a huge mistake that I did not consult with the doctor sooner. The doctor told me that 80% of women who think they have yeast infection never have it or have something else.

So, how is a vaginal yeast infection different from others? If a thick discharge looking like cottage cheese is found, it is very possible that you have a vaginal yeast infection. My doctor told me that 20% of them experience it. As a infection sufferer, I had clumpy discharge, too. There was no bad odor. The smell of bread or beer could be a better description. The color can vary from light yellow to while.

If you have really bad itching in and around the vagina, you might have yeast infection. I started to feel very itchy during the workout at my house. I was not able to even walk because the itching was just unbearable. Burning as well as redness is other symptom. Urination was often very painful. Having sex was uncomfortable and painful.

When you develop a urinary tract infection, you will have a burning sensation similar to one by yeast infection. So, how do you know that you have one, not the other? According to my doctor, you are likely to have yeast infection if you experience burning only when the urine reaches the outside. On the other hand, you will have a symptom of burning when the urine is coming down the tube if you have urinary tract infection.

What are the reasons for vaginal yeast infection? The cause of the infection is the fungus known as Candida albicans. Even you haven’t developed the infection, you have a little amount of Candida albicans in the vagina. Those yeast cells are under the control of the bacteria. You develop yeast infection when the imbalance causes the bacteria to lose control over the yeast cells. Yeast cells outgrow bacteria.

I tried both over-the-counter medications like creams and tablets and the medications that the doctor recommended. Those medicines are made to reduce the number of yeast cells and remove the infection. They all had short term effect in my case. I had some a good relief. However, the symptoms remained.

Being upset the medications, I started to do research on natural ways to cure yeast infection The time and effort I put in finally paid off and I found the one that worked for me. The symptoms were gone in 14 days and they never came back. I have been free from the infection over a year.

For more information on vaginal yeast infection and yeast infection symptoms, I urge you to visit yeast infection cure site.
