Learn The Secret To Becoming the Biggest Loser

Legendary singer Rosemary Clooney (and aunt of George Clooney) returned to Tom Snyder’s national radio show one time. Clooney and Snyder have known each other for years, ever since they became neighbors in Beverly Hills.
“Rosie,” Snyder said. “You look great. Did you lose weight?”
“Yes,” the 300+ pound Clooney replied. “Last I checked it was over half a ton.”
The two laughed, the studio phones lit up with callers and the comment became part of the Clooney saga.
Rosemary Clooney – like millions of other Americans – always seemed to be on a diet.
And, she probably did lose 1,000 pounds. The problem, she lamented, was that she gained 1,002 pounds.
Why do so many us lose several pounds, only to gain them right back? If weight fluctuates day-by-day, maybe by a pound or two, does that mean each of us loses 365 pounds a year? Makes sense, but that means people also gain 365 – or maybe even 730 – pounds a year. Is it worthwhile?
Americans put a huge emphasis on weight and appearance. Celebrities who find themselves packing on the pounds are often forced to make lifestyle changes to continue their careers. Countless celebrities who have recently gotten into shape have become pitchmen and pitch women for health and fitness related products and advocates for a healthy lifestyle general.
Those who have been successful at losing weight can become best selling authors or spokespersons for the latest fad diet. These celebrities use their weight loss to get television commercials for diet companies or diet supplements.
Recently we’ve seen several Celebrities who’s weight is jumping all over the place, they
gain and lose, again and again.
A very common question you see on the internet is, “how to lose weight fast?” The best method is diet and exercise. But that doesn’t stop people from simple solutions like video games with cartoon characters who will run along with you, to gastric bypass, to the all cookie diet or the liquid diet or the protein diet. Many people are turning to the internet and websites like the biggest loser forum to find responsible weight loss advice from people who know what they are talking about.
America loves to route for an underdog, such as the contestants on The Biggest Loser. Most people can’t imagine working out as hard as some of the contestants on the show. It has to be difficult to be weighed in front of millions of people. (Most people find it difficult to be weighed at the doctor’s office by one medical assistant.)
Why do people wait until a new year to resolve to lose weight? This year can be different, simply by sticking to our diet and exercise plans, and finally becoming a big loser!
