First of all, you have to make sure that your hands and face are free of dirt. Wash your face with warm water or steam it to unclog pores. Make sure to pat your face with a clean towel when drying. Now, start squeezing the base of the whitehead downwards. This should break your skin wide open. However, if this doesn’t work, then don’t force it. You can repeat the procedure the next day or when you feel as if the whitehead has ripened and is ready to burst. This is because wrongly popped whiteheads tend to leave a scar which are harder to get rid of.
