If everyone people in the world are like me, much of the thinking process about how much they like a town is based on the restaurant choices available there. Sound a little silly? Well, try residing in a city with more restaurants per capita than any other town in America and then switching to a place where you can’t find a good breakfast restaurant to save your life. It’s not a funny matter.
Glenwood Springs Colorado Restaurants
Luckily for the residents and visitors in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, they don’t have this concern. Regardless of the reason for dining out, if you want fine dining or fast food, Glenwood seems to have everything. The incredible selection of eating establishments includes unique local joints as well as wonderful chain restaurants, both continental and regional chains.
I’m a sucker for great Mexican cuisine, Italian eats, and BBQ, and many of my favorite places for these options are right here in Glenwood Springs. First, let me tell you about Fiesta Guadalajara. If you like Mexican cuisine, look no further. The food, the people, and the atmosphere are enough to keep me coming back again and again, and each and every time I try something new, it’s just as good as what I had at my previous visit. If you’re not in the mood to eat, I’ve spent hours enjoying good conversation over one or two of Fiesta’s splendid margaritas or other specialty beverages. So, if you’re looking for a restaurant to take your party for a meal of delicious Mexican food or if you’re looking to sit and have a drink with the Glenwood people, Fiesta Guadalajara is a wonderful option.
Now, you may have eaten at a Rib City before, as it’s not exclusive to Glenwood Springs. It is, though, however, far from a cheap national chain where all the food seems a little too processed or mass produced. Rib City doesn’t just offer ribs, but a full menu of everything from the grill, smoker and much more. If it’s ribs you want, a brisket sandwich, smoked hot links, or just a side of mac n’ cheese, it all tastes exactly the way barbeque was intended to taste. You’ll have no issue believing that your meal was freshly crafted with nothing but the highest level quality in mind.

My favorite food of all, however, is Italian. Something about the way fine wine can go so nicely with pasta meals, shrimp and lobster, and vegetables makes my mouth water just thinking about it. If you’re like me, you’ll absolutely love Italian Underground. It’s so well-liked, you may have to wait a little longer than you’re habituated to, but I assure you it’s worth it. The atmosphere and nothing more is absolutely worth checking out, as this local favorite is set up in a basement made to look the way Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro would appreciate. Make sure you check out Italian Underground next venture to Glenwood.
Of course there are some other fine dining choices I should mention. Rivers, Juicy Lucy’s, and the Riviera are all wonderful fine American dining restaurants. Fin’s is a great place in the area to visit for fish and seafood, and the Brewpub seems to have the best local Glenwood vibe in town. a couple more of my favorite places I’d like to touch on are Village Smithy, not far down highway 82 in Carbondale, and Taipei Tokyo. Village Smithy has probably the greatest breakfast I’ve ever had, and Taipei Tokyo in Glenwood dishes up some incredible Asian eats.
Ok, so how’s that for restaurant variety? Next time you visit Glenwood, you should have no problems at all finding a great place to eat.
