What Chiropractors Do To You

August 9th, 2010 by heart_health

Ultrasound treatment is utilized by chiropractic consultants as one of many combinations of treatments. This type of ultrasound is named therapeutic ultrasonograpy and is different than diagnosing ultrasound. Treatment only takes 3 to 5 minutes. It’s done with a wand device which makes sound waves that produce heat and can help joints, muscles or tendons to heal quicker. One way it works is by augmenting blood flow that occurs from tissue heated between 40 to 45 degrees Celsius. Another way it works is by vibrating tissue which stimulates and repairs cells where they are inflamed.

Therapeutic ultrasound decreases muscle spasms, soreness and swelling from the heated sound waves. It improves lower back discomfort and stiffness. Other health Problems that may be treated with this care are fibrositis, osteoarthritis, periartritis, radiculitis, myalgia, sciatica, sprains, whiplash and osseous rheumatism. There are some important safety precautions when using this treatment. The wand needs to be kept moving and used with a gel. The gel increases conductivity of the sound waves. They will not be transferred effectively without the use of gel. The gel is also required because the wand could break or a patient may be apparently burned within.

Another therapy chiropractors may use is known as Infrared treatment. This care uses high-intensity infrared light that may penetrate two inches into the skin and deeply into parts of the body. The deep penetration results in better circulation which can remove poisons, bring in needed nutrients and relieve discomfort. Increased blood circulation can strengthen the heart system. It stimulates healing and replenishs cells, nerves and muscle tissue. It’s also used to reduce discomfort, rigidity, swelling and redness. Infrared devices work at a temperature of 40-45 degrees Celsius.

Infrared care can at times be used as an alternative to medication or surgery. It often mitigates pain and there are no side effects. Infrared therapy has worked for some patients when other treatments failed. Chiropractor Robert Ensley in California claims he has accurately diagnosed acute and lingering pain syndromes with the infrared camera. This camera also sets the best type of treatment for each patient. It also monitors the effects of the treatment and evaluates when it should be stopped. According to Dr. Ensley the infrared imaging camera allows visualizing with live images, the physiology of the automatic nervous system. It can show what the patients symptoms or pain is coming from.

Ultrasound therapy is recommended by chiropractors for patients with many types of wounds and infirmities. Systematic and medical test have proved it eases discomfort helping healing. The sound waves can’t be heard by animals or people. Anodyne Infrared care has been cleared by the FDA and is employed by many chiropractors. This is a non-invasive and safe treatment that produces heat. It is used to heal all sorts of injuries quicker and manages discomfort. The treatments are from thirty to 45 minutes long. If the wounds are minor it’ll only take 3 to 5 minutes for therapy. Heavy wounds may take up to 20 treatments to successfully work.

If you are hunting for Indianapolis chiropractors then you should not have trouble finding them. I’ve had a touch less success locating Boston chiropractors and chiropractors in Baltimore.
